This restoration project led by the Tweed Forum is creating and restoring wetland habitats in the Till Valley, Northumberland. The Northumbria Regional Flood Defence Committee's Local Levy programme is funding £300,000 to the overall River Till Wetland Restoration Project, with a further £175,000 of funding from SITA Trust for work to be undertaken as part of the Fenton floodplains.

The project will work closely with local farmers to find a sustainable approach to flood defence by returning land to natural floodplain.
