Lancashire Applications

LANCASHIRE
In the county of Lancashire applicants are requested to direct their enquiries for community funding to Lancashire Environmental Fund (LEF). LEF is an entirely separate organisation which distributes the landfill tax credits raised by SITA UK in the county.
Contact details for LEF can be found on their website.
However, Blackburn and Blackpool, as unitary authorities, are not included in Lancashire County and SITA Trust will welcome applications for funding community projects that are within 10 miles of a SITA Landfill site and located within these unitary authority areas. Lancashire County Council's website has a good postcode search service where you can confirm which authority's boundaries your projects sits within.
Biodiversity projects within any part of England (including Lancashire) can be funded through SITA Trust's Enriching Nature programme. SITA Trust's youth volunteering, GreenPrints programme is also a national programme and applications from any part of England will be welcomed.
Should you require any clarification about funding of projects in any region please do contact the Trust to discuss your specific application on 01454 262910.
