01/02/2012 14:46: Funding Boost for The Greengate Area Community Open Spaces

Salford City Council has received a £53,606.00 funding boost from SITA Trust for their project  "The Greengate Area Community Open Spaces".
 
Funding will allow the replacement of astroturf and fencing for a Multi-use Games Area (MUGA), knee rail fencing for the open green space, along with shrub and bulb planting.
 
SITA Trust provides funding through the Landfill Communities Fund. Funding is available for available for projects that enhance communities and enrich nature. 
 
The replacement of the astro turf area and knee rail work is to commence on the 19th March and will be completed by the end of April.
It is anticipated that the shrub planting will completed in May and bulb planting be completed in September
