Specialist contractors will clear scrub and bramble, with volunteers providing assistance. Grazing by livestock will then be carefully adjusted to help prevent regrowth of scrub and ensure grassland regeneration. read more
Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust's project at Teversal Pastures Site of Special Scientific Interest. The work will enable sustainable management of 3 hectares of Biodiversity Action Plan protected lowland wet grassland, bringing it back into favourable condition. read more
Durham County Council’s Countryside Service has received a £23,650 funding boost from SITA Trust. This funding will enable the Countryside Service to bring Ferryhill Carrs Local Nature Reserve grassland back into positive management by returning grazing to selected areas of the site. Without positive management such as this, the site is in danger of drying out and losing its special qualities. read more
