Shropshire's Ancient Tree Inventory
This project will complete the survey verification of 602 veteran trees in Shropshire as part of a national Ancient Tree Inventory. Over a year two trained tree hunters ( veteran tree verifiers) will travel the length and breadth of Shropshire armed with specialist GPS devices to seek out and verify the status of 602 ancient trees. Completion of this task will enable us to begin the next phase of the HAP to promote these trees for their biodiversity, tourism and heritage value. read more
